How to attach our Metal Labels

Attention, sewing enthusiasts!
Ready to take your creations to the next level? Get ready to shine with metal labels! Our online shop offers a dazzling array of sewing labels, including the coveted metal ones. In this blog post, we’ll show you how to effortlessly attach these stunning labels to your fabric projects. Whether you’re a pro or just starting out, our quick and easy guide will have you adding that extra touch of elegance in no time. Let’s get started on this exciting journey of enhancing your handmade masterpieces with metal labels!
You need:
– a sewing piece on which the metal label is to be placed,
– a fleece to reinforce the fabric
– a fleece to cover the back
– a hammer
– and a piece of felt.
And of course, you’ll also need our wonderful metal labels, which you can find right here in our shop:

Step 1)
Put together all the things you need, make sure you have a stable base.

Step 2)
First, put the iron-on stabilizer on the back of the place where you want the metal label to be.

Step 3)
Iron it well.

Step 4)
This is how it should look after it is ironed on.

Step 5)
Turn the sewn on the right side and put the metal label on the right place. Press firmly on it.

Step 6)
You should easily see the marks where the label pins should go through.

Step 7)
Poke holes only at the markings so that the label pins can easily pass through without damaging the fabric.

Step 8)
Use the felt as a backing to prevent scratching the label. Put the top through the fabric, turn the fabric over and put the counterpart on the back.

Step 9)
Take the hammer and hit the pins with feeling until they are smooth.

Step 10)
This is how it should look now.

Step 11)
To prevent chafing, place a fleece over it. Of course you can skip this step if the back of the label is not in direct contact with the body.

Step 12)
Iron well.

Step 13)
This is how it looks from the back side.

DONE!
And this is how it should look when you’re done! Hooray you have successfully attached your first metal label!
